**Both Fog Lights are now intact and not broken** Up for sale is a truly rare and immaculate version of one of the most often overlooked hot hatches to come out of Japan’s “Bubble Era.” That car is none other than the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R, a rally-inspired SR20DET powered AWD hot hatch developed by Nissan for use in in the World Rally Cross series. This Pulsar in question is the sought after “RB” model. A stripped down, homologation race ready version of the already raw and exhilarating pulsar. Only a handful of RB models were sent off to the legendary “Autech” tuning factory, and those that did received a fair amount of additional upgrades to make these cars truly one of a kind, and this Pulsar is one of them. Starting with the powertrain, Autech GTIR’s came equipped with an SR20DET engine tuned to 227hp from the factory. This Pulsar has an aftermarket Tanabe Hyper Medallion catback installed as well. The exhaust note is quite refined. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an upgraded close ratio manual transmission. The gearing is the same as Nissan’s actual rally cars! All upgrades installed on this car were options available through the Autech factory and installed in-house before the car even rolled off the showroom floor! This Pulsar is only 1 or 28 finished in OEM Super White paint. There has been no paint work performed and the paint has held up extremely well over the years! The exterior of this GTIR was optioned with a laundry list of 90’s goodies, including a grille with big fog lights, fender mounted mirrors, and a larger rear spoiler! The OEM wheels were replaced with a set of authentic period-correct Sparco Rally wheels. Metal skid plates were installed to protect and preserve the undercarriage. This Pulsar was cared for extremely well by the previous owner. There has been no paint or body work done to the vehicle. Please note the dent in the right-side fender. We have chosen to leave the car in its original, unmolested condition. This same level of cleanliness extends to the interior as well. The OEM front seats were replaced in favor of beautiful leather Recaros. An original NISMO steering wheel and shift knob add a nice OEM+ touch to the interior as well. The gauge cluster displays only 76,065 original KM’s, translating to just 47,264 original miles! This stripped-down RB model is equipped with manual windows in order to save significant amounts of weight. If you are looking for a period-correct rally car with collector car status, this Pulsar is one option that will drive as well as it holds its value.
